For schools
We work closely with schools and nurseries across Wiltshire – providing regular, direct Speech and Language Therapy, embedding strategies within everyday classroom practice.
How we can help
A key benefit of our service is the flexibility to work alongside teachers and teaching assistants within the classroom, supporting communication skills as part of the daily routine – or, depending on a child’s needs, as one-to-one sessions in a quieter space within the school.
You require more therapy time for assessments, reviews, target setting and direct intervention
You have a high number of children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN)
Children’s attainment is being impacted by underlying speech and language difficulties
Communication skills have been identified as a priority or focus for development across the year
You are strengthening your provision for SLCN to meet Ofsted expectations and SEND Code of Practice
NHS Speech and Language Therapy services prioritise children via levels of need, meaning many children do not receive regular, ongoing support
